Our hospital has a tradition of many centuries, which was founded by late Vaidyan Raman Pillai, our grandfather (1898 - 1968). Vaidyan P.R Chandrasakharan Nair, father gained popularity with genuine way of treatment & pure ayurvedic medication. Traditional knowledge passed over to generations, that is the strong point of Pulickal Ayurveda Hospital. Treatment methods are followed according to classical ayurvedic principles.
Ayurveda is the Science of Life. Etymologically Ayurveda has two words- Ayu and Veda. Ayu means life and Veda stands for the knowledge. So strictly speaking Ayurveda is knowledge for life. Ayurveda is a stream of the knowledge passed on from generation to generation from teachers to their students. Samhithas- the authentic text books of Ayurveda are a compendium of experiences by ancient doctors and discussions by teachers and disciples. Aim of Ayurveda is - to prevent diseases in a healthy person and to cure the diseased one.
